Our outdoor centre was set up in 1981 with the vision to be at the leading edge of activity centres in the UK. Today we are nationally recognised as a leader in providing high quality Outdoor Education, activity holidays, adventure weekends, water sports holidays, surfing weekends and surfing holidays. We are one of the few small activity centres enabling us to provide a personal and relaxed atmosphere that benefits everyone.

Surf School
With a 27 year proven track record of delivering high quality coaching the OA Surf School remains the ultimate place to learn to surf or improve your skills.

Delivering surfing lessons at Widemouth Bay near Bude in north Cornwall, the OA Surf School has the best of both worlds: as well as half and full day surf lessons we can also offer a full board weekend package at our premier Centre overlooking the Widemouth Bay surf.

Residential School Trips
Our Outdoor Activity Centre cannot be bettered on quality, safety, customised programme design, instructor to pupil ratio and commitment from our staff team. As a small outdoor centre we provide a real alternative to the large Adventure centres ensuring the maximum personal development and teambuilding opportunities for each pupil as well as plenty of fun! We are also one of the few outdoor centres that can offer sole occupancy to your school or college which brings huge benefits for everyone. Our provision as an Outdoor Education centre includes tailored curriculum based programmes for BTEC, GCSE PE and teacher training.

Family Activity Holidays
Our family activity holidays are the perfect way to spend quality time with the kids where no-one is getting bored! We arrange everything for the day ahead, so parents, you can relax and have a break from organising!

The real plus of our family adventure holidays is that we are genuinely flexible so you can choose your favourite activities to make up your week.

You can design your activity plan to be as exciting and challenging as you wish. If you decide to do different activities from the kids – that works as well. You can even sneak a relaxing snooze on our own beach if all the exercise is going to your head! We also put on a great lively evening programme that everyone can join in with or of course you are welcome to slip off for a stroll along the coast with a glass of wine.

Adult Activity Weekends
activity weekends are perfect whether you are 18 or 60 - you don’t have to be super fit or a good swimmer, just open to plenty of new experiences and lots of fun. Our staff are excellent and will tailor their coaching to suit your level. Come as a group or on your own - either way you’ll feel part of the action and have a fantastic, memorable experience.
