Description

Welcome to ICC Salcombe, with the biggest fleet, perfectly located in South Devon offering the best sailing opportunities for the complete beginner and the experienced sailor.

We offer sailing holidays, short & weekend breaks with tuition or RYA courses for beginner to Yachtmaster, for children and adults alike. The ICC is based in the Salcombe and Kingsbridge estuary, one of the most beautiful in South West England and offers sailing both in a protected tidal harbour and at sea. Our fleet is one of the largest in the UK, from exciting single handed dinghies suitable for both children and adults to high performance keel boats and sea going yachts.

School and Youth Groups are catered for:
Each year we offer several preview weekends for teachers and group leaders. Visits are normally free or at a nominal charge. These weekends give group leaders the opportunity to sample our facilities and activities, and also to discuss any possible programmes or ideas they might have. We also welcome day inspection visits for those teachers who may not be able to manage a full weekend. Please phone to discuss specific requirements.

Adult Groups
Group visits are seriously good fun and growing in popularity every year. For both beginners and experienced sailors, large and small groups are welcome. Take RYA Courses or sail for fun with or without instruction. Residential or non-Residential, friends, colleagues or sailors from your local club - we can discuss all your needs to build an experience that really works.

Other Activities
As well as sailing in both dinghies and keelboats, we also have a range of other activities to choose from for a fun packed week or weekend, including canoeing, windsurfing, powerboating, coastal walking, raft building and team building games on the water.

Boat Hire
If you are already a competent sailor you can hire one of our exciting sailing dinghies or keelboats – choose from the large ICC fleet. Just telephone the office to check availability and book a half or full day boat hire.

Private Tuition
Private tuition is available for half or full days, either 1:1 with an Instructor or, 2 or more with 1 instructor. The tuition can tailored to your needs, with a choice of boats available.

Accommodation
The Club’s floating sailing base, the converted Mersey ferry ‘Egremont’, has simple hostel-style accommodation for up to 50 on board. Cabins are twin bunked with a basin. Showers and toilets are situated in two blocks on the main deck. Also on this deck is the drying room, telephone and access to the dinghy pontoon.

If you decide to stay ashore, Salcombe offers accommodation from 4-star hotels to camp sites and we have links with several accommodation providers in the local area.
