Learn to Surf

If you are looking to learn to surf there are several great surfing academies to choose from. So if you are looking for a fun, active holiday this summer why not learn to surf?

The Gwithian Academy of Surfing operates from Gwithian - the Northernmost point of St Ives Bay - and is very close to the towns of Hayle and St Ives. They offer surfing and accommodation packages from 3 to 7 nights for one or more people. Accommodation is provided in spacious suites, with double, twin or single beds. English or Continental Breakfasts are available if required. For those who already have some expeerience they can offer one on one coaching is available to fine-tune your surfing

Pure Blue Water, also based in Cornwall offer a wide range of water based activities including surfing. They offer surfing lessons at 5 locations on the North Coast of Cornwall - Newquay, Perrenporth, St Agnus, Porthtowen, and Polzeath. All equipment is provided and the costs start at £25 per person for a half day group lesson. There is a discount for group bookings and private tuiton also available.

Outdoor Adventure Ltd offers surfing lessons at Widemouth Bay near Bude in north Cornwall. As well as half and full day surf lessons they also offer a full board weekend package at their Centre overlooking the Widemouth Bay surf.
